Vermicelli Kheer is a yummy and delicious dessert can be used solely for kids or old age with some amount of sugar or jaggery as a eating option.

It is made with roasted vermicelli and milk also known as seminal payasam and sweet pudding.


Preparation time – 2-5 minutes
Cooking time – 10-15 minutes



Ingredients

· 500ml milk

· 100gms roasted vermicelli (if unroasted packet is used, preferably roast them well before use otherwise compromised taste)

· 150-200gms sugar

· For Blissful smell – eliachi – 2-3pieces crushed

· Kesar –according to color and taste



Method

1. Once roasted or pre roasted vermicelli is taken in proportionate quantity, open the 500ml milk in a container and start to boil the milk on a high flame.

2. Milk can be of buffalo, cow or gold or high fat.

3. Once milk is sufficiently boiled add the desired quantity of sugar into it with continuously stirring so as to melt the sugar powdered sugar can be used but then the quantity would be increased a little more than that of the refined sugar

4. Now later on the milk is thickened so vermicelli can be added and continuous stir for 3-5 minutes don’t allow the milk to thickened more as vermicelli also absorbs the medium.

5. Off the flame add eliachi and kesar for better presentation and palatability.

6. Serve hot or after refrigerating for the sufficient time and taste.
