We all know that regular exfoliation is essential to having healthy skin. Exfoliation clears out the dead skin cells from the outer layer of our skin. Exfoliating can be tricky though. If you do it incorrectly, your skin could end up being more damaged than helped by the process. So how do you know which method of exfoliation is right for you? It depends on your skin type.

I know what it's like to have sensitive and acne-prone skin. I've tried everything from exfoliation masks to cream, but my skin doesn't react well to any of it—I start burning in a matter of minutes. I didn't give up, though—I found a perfect homemade treatment that works for me. Let's get started!

Ingredients

1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons honey
Aloe Vera gel

How to Use-

Mix ½ teaspoon baking soda, 2 tablespoons honey, and aloe vera gel in a bowl. Make sure it's all mixed well before you start applying it to your face. Make sure your face is clean before applying. Then, gently massage this mixture onto your face for five minutes. Remember to use circular motions while massaging so that you can stimulate blood flow in your skin and help with circulation—it'll make you feel great! After five minutes of massaging, let the mask sit on your face for another five minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water. Pat dry your face with a towel and apply moisturizer if needed.

Do this twice per week for the best result.

Benefits- Baking soda is a natural exfoliator that helps to remove dead skin cells and clear acne from clogged pores. Aloe vera gel helps with acne, and honey is great for sensitive skin—so this treatment is perfect for sensitive skin. The combination of all three ingredients leaves your pores clean without leaving any redness or burning.
